Brand Name vs. Off Brand Products Explained:

Made-in-USA       The brand named products we carry are from U.S. manufacturers that have been in business more than 30 years and have a PROVEN reputation for providing reliable, high quality products with under 1% defect rates and strong technical support services departments. They are competitively priced but not cheap. When we put out one of their products we are confident we will not have go backs for replacements and when we do have a problem they swiftly honor their product warranty.

DMP (Digital Monitoring Products), HPI’s primary alarm and access security system line, has been in the security manufacturing business over 30 years since 1975 and is still privately owned and managed by the original founded family. Their products are used exclusively in many of the largest financial institutions in the world and DMP systems can be found protecting federal government and state facilities at every level. ALL of their products are designed, engineered, manufactured and serviced in the U.S.A. in Springfield, Missouri. The DMP product line covers all levels of HPI’s customer security needs from small condos or strip stores to mansions and multi-location industrial or campus facilities under a single integrated management package.

Clinton Electronics, HPI’s primary Video Surveillance line, has been in the security cctv business over 50 years, is used in 46 of the top 50 retailers (check them out in use (not for sale) at Publix and Walmart) and Clinton Electronics is a product line that is carried by 72 of the top 100 security system installation companies in the U.S. Most of their products are designed, engineered, manufactured or assembled and serviced in the U.S.A. in Loves Park, Illinois northwest of Chicago. We think they are worth the extra money.

The off brand products we carry for entry level applications are low priced, well engineered products from foreign manufacturers in business over 5 years but supported by distribution centers in the U.S. They have limited support and no reputation in the industry good or bad. HPI has to test these products in-house and stand behind the products if the manufacturer is not available to do so. Many times they come to us through our professional associates across the country who have used these entry level products in their security companies with great success. Unlike internet or big box stores, HPI provides on-site installation, service and repairs. For these reasons, HPI selects ONLY THE BEST of the many off brand products available in the market to install and service.

HPI has been in the electronic security system industry over 30 years and we expect to be here for 30 more. This is a life safety and property protection services industry. We can’t afford to fail.
