The importance of alarm devices being individually identifiable can not be minimized. It is a great convenience to the alarm user and an invaluable aid to emergency responders. And it is the best solution to reducing false alarms. Grouping a bank of windows, smoke detectors or motion detectors on a single hardwire terminal or wireless transmitter can have catastrophic consequences.
