New Tampa Palms’ Resident alarm info

Courtesy of New Tampa Palms, each unit comes with a security alarm system included at no additional cost. It’s up to you, the Resident, how, if and when you use it. Contact the Leasing Office to get your alarm scheduled to be activated for your use.

  • Arm the system when you go to bed each night.
  • Arm the system when you’re home for the night or during the day while working from home or napping.
  • Arm the system to keep track of the kids.
  • Or just keep it handy for special occasions.
  • Arm the system each day when you leave for work, shopping, errands or the like.
  • Arm the system when you go on long vacations.

Use your alarm however it gives you peace-of-mind.

Local Alarm Use:

If armed, when an intrusion is detected, the Siren Sounds to alert resident and occupants in the premises and turn the intruder away.

Call the leasing office
to get set up with your unique keypad code(s) to operate the alarm. Basic training will be provided to those available at that time.

Remote (Self Monitoring) Alarm Use:

If arming your system and leaving the premise vacant, you may want to be able to get a notification on your phone of an alarm and be able to remotely disarm and silence the Siren. You can notify police if you are self monitoring your alarm signals. You can then rearm the system. For this you’ll need the SmartPhone APP (iPhone or Android App SmartLink+ (Logo is a White House with Blue Lock inside).

Call the leasing office to schedule
the HPI Tech to activate the alarm control and do the initial download of the APP to operate the alarm. Set-up and basic training will be provided to those available at that time.

NOTE: On loading the App it asks if you want Notifications set up. Until phone & emails are added to a user only PUSH notifications go to phone. ONLY alarms go out by TXT notification if set up. All others (Arm/Disarm, low bat. etc.) only go by push &/or email notifications.).

Central Station Monitored:

Police response can only be assured if you subscribe to this additional service ($15/month paid annually) (See more at https://www.hpisecurity.com/monitoring/ ). Alarm monitors are standing by 24/7/365 to react when your alarm comes in. When HPI’s Central Station receives your signal our computer instantly sends a text message to all Cell Phones listed on your account to receive notice (See more at https://www.hpisecurity.com/SMS.pdf ). They can handle it remotely if they know it was a false alarm, or ignore it and our dispatcher makes phone calls to the first on the list to make sure the text message was not missed. If no one cancels the alarm as being false, the police are dispatched to investigate.

Note: That FIRE Alarms triggered off the keypad and POLICE silent hold-up/duress signals get NO response if you are the only one receiving notifications (Self Monitoring) on your phone.
